There’s so much going on in DC this weekend! I entered the Hamilton lottery so here’s to hoping I get tickets to see that. There’s also a musical festival, a Syrian arts and crafts show, and a National Symphony Orchestra performance. If the weather permits I’d love to rent a boat on the Potomac. You can easily find yourself overbooking and making multiple plans here. (Totally different than the small town feel I grew up in). I find the best option is to pick one or two events in advance and leave an our or two free for anything spontaneous that comes up. Sometimes I’ll just pick an area in DC (U street and Columbia Heights are my favorite) and walk around. It’s great for people watching or having lunch.
