Having a baby is phenomenal, emotional, exhausting, and peaceful. I felt kind of blah for a few weeks. Men don’t really get it because they aren’t feminine.
While pregnant I gained most of my weight in the first trimester. Eating helped with the morning sickness. I walked throughout my pregnancy and followed my doctor’s orders about increasing calories by 300 then 500.
I started practicing zumba 6 weeks postpartum. I have a strong core and this helped a lot. For my diet I do partial Atkins and eat around 1,300 calories a day. I also take yoga classes. I didn’t gain that much weight while pregnant which made losing it so much easier. I also was motivated by the good weather and my desire to fit back into my clothes.
My daughter brings so much joy to my life. I can’t wait to watch her grow up and be her caregiver.
