Substack Community

I think Substack is a good place to read emotional news. Posts from writers who don’t hold back, who are controversial, and who aren’t afraid to put words on paper and make them public. Any time you post on social media you open yourself up to unwanted criticism, comments, opinions and friend requests that may taint the innocence of your intended posts. You aren’t responsible for how someone interprets what you write. Why do we freak out and attempt to censor anytime a writer is creative? What is the alternative? To simply not put our thoughts and posts out there? Why are we so afraid of writers with oomph! Why are we so afraid of writers with outlandish personalities? Why are we so afraid of writers with Bipolar? Are we that threatened by a woman who doesn’t play small? Should even our own thoughts and public posts be diminished to fit into the status quo? What is so noble about following the herd? It is far more courageous to state an unfiltered truth that is unique to you and your mind and body. I salute any writer who is unconventional. I salute your undiagnosed pen. I salute your chaotic writing process and I respect your inalienable right to Freedom of Expression. I will never expect a unique Writer to be Sane. I will never discriminate against a Nuerodivergent or a Bipolar for working differently than the average human. I am not average and I refuse to fit into your idea of what I should Act like.
Sincerely Yours, Actress84.
